We are always looking for good foster homes in the Columbia and surrounding area. When you sign up to be a foster parent you and your family pledge to provide care, food, nurturing and lots of love to the foster animal in your care. Because we operate under the no-kill philosophy, and follow very strict adoption guidelines, foster animals can remain in the foster home anywhere from 4 weeks to 5 months. The average stay for an animal in foster care is 4-6 weeks. HTAS provides all training, medical care and emotional support. We ask that the foster family provide good quality food and in some cases we can provide you with the food.

The foster families are such an important part of our special family. They open up their hearts and their homes to help these animals in need.
